About PSARA License

The private security agency business is governed by the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005, commonly known as the PSARA Act. Every private security agency that provides security services, including the training of security guards, is required to obtain a PSARA license. Once the license is obtained, the agency must commence operations within six months.
Validity of The License
The validity of PASARA license is 5 years and can be further renewed for the next 5 years on payment of the prescribed fee.
Prescribed Fee for Obtaining PASARA License
- Private security agency operating in one district: Rs.5000/-
- Private security agency operating in one to five districts: Rs.10000/-
- Private security agency operating in the entire state: Rs.25000/-
Documents Required for PASARA License
It is very easy to register this type of business as very few documents are needed. The required documents include:

- Employees State Insurance(ESI) Registration copy
- Registration under Contractual labor Act
- Registration of establishment under Shops & Establishment
